Characterization of gene expression signatures of tumor immunogenicity and cellular proliferation from murine cancer models grown in vitro and in vivo

The study shows that tumor tissues collected in vivo had a higher tumor immunogenicity signature and lower cellular proliferation signature compared to cell lines grown in culture, indicating that an active immune system and a vascularized environment contribute to decreased cancer cell proliferation. These results emphasize importance of using syngeneic models for studying cancer therapeutics.
